A Friend in Need: for Members in your Group
Know a member of your group who’s facing a hard time and needs financial support? This is not the time to simply Talk about the matter and just move on. One sure thing that would be of great benefit is to rally round your group members for support to fix the problem and get the individuals in distress back on their feet.
If you happen to know such a person within your group who needs financial support, here’s how you can help them using your Talkaado App.
1) Reach out to your group admin and ask if they would be willing to create an approved project within the group for a colleague in need. It’s important to ask for permission as different groups would have their own policies on how they offer financial assistance to individual members within the group. Do not jump the gun by creating an unauthorized within the group or by soliciting members to pay money into a private bank account.
2) Once you get a yes from the Group Admin, speak with the person in need. Ask if they would be willing to receive financial assistance from members of the community anonymously or otherwise. Be sure to gather any details they would be comfortable to share about the challenging situation. Some vital details needed would include: Problem description, amount of money needed and when needed.
3) Once you have all the necessary details, submit them to the Group Admin so they can create the project on your behalf. When money is paid into the project wallet, clear record of who has paid and how much they paid is stated.
4) When the project timeline is completed, the will end. The Admin can then withdraw into the account of the beneficiary.
It’s that simple! Now we can go a step further to support members of our communities in need.
